Computer Information Technology (AAS - Technology)
Students may earn a general degree in CIT by completing the program requirements and any combination of electives. Students who whish to specialize may choose an area of emphasis and complete the specific electives for each. The fours emphasis areas are Front End Developer, Back End Developer, Cybersecurity and Programming.
The mission of the Associate of Applied Science in Technology is to provide employment-related knowledge and skills necessary to succeed as a professional in a chosen field of study
Students who complete an Associate of Applied Science in Technology are expected to:
- Know the subject matter appropriate to the emphasis of the degree. (¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 1,3,6,7)
- Communicate effectively and appropriately, in oral and written form. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 2)
- Locate, evaluate and properly utilize the tools and resources appropriate to a technology degree professional. (¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 1,6,7)
- Acquire skills and perform tasks necessary for employment or career enhancement. (¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 1,7)
- Developed an appreciation of the importance of social, ethical, legal and diversity issues. (¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 5,7)
- Developed an appreciation of the need and importance of lifelong learning. (¾«¶«Ó°ÒµÊÓƵ SLO 1)
